The Salvadoran Ministry of Education designated October as "Play Month" for the lower grades - oh to be in school again...it's a month of fun activities by academic themes! We hosted a very fun Children's day, a week of science activities, fun games as the icing on top--and we had SO MUCH FUN! For Children's Day, they dressed up as their dream career or a superhero costume (thus Profe Rogelio was amazing--as Spider-Man!). As our friend Katya said, "You can't imagine the joy in their faces!" It's a wonderful way to lead up to the end-of-year tests and celebrating the school break for the holidays. Stay tuned on our social medias for previews, but you can only find the full event photos here! What a joy. -Daniel Van Wieren, Director of Global Engagement
