We had the best time serving our community in July! We got to connect with our families as a team of 12 enjoyed serving alongside the local church and presented the Gospel and served with a themed summer camp, our 3rd Women's Conference, a field day, a community dinner and "Light of the World" glow night, and we got to stop in each home to drop a little gift while we encouraged and prayed for each family, sharing our faith as they shared their home. Donations were brought to bless not only the community's children, but also resources were given with love to the teachers who work so hard for our family's! Even the church is now able to be more resources alongside our school, and Pastor Abner and his wife Jenifer have a huge heart for them. Abner is also a teacher with us! Each week needs time to recover, so Mentor Leaders hosts a fun day out after all the nonstop work--this time it was supporting a local pastor who's opened up an evangelistic work through surfing! Can you spot which events are which (not to sound too much like a certain rhyming explorer cartoon we all know and love...)? Doesn't it make you want to go, or come back? Maybe it makes you want to send, but either way, our community is in need of a permanent facility soon to host our school--the great news is, God's already provided the ground to begin! We even have architectural renderings--stay tuned since we'll be hosting an Impact Night soon to help raise all funds for a fully-functioning, excellent facility to meet all the educational needs not only of the currently enrolled students, but hundreds more to come! That total will be $300,000, so it's a time to pray and build a future legacy for generations to come in beautiful El Salvador. These children could not be more worthy!
