Sprinting through the finish line of high school is not an easy milestone, especially when you were born in a place where education's not offered and where many miss their childhood. With intention and strategy, in Togo we've seen some students go through successfully, but now we're seeing their success become normal and predictable! In this country where the light of the Gospel also brings with it practical tools like problem-solving, logical thinking, efficacy, and excellence, 2 students have hit the milestone of their "defense," which in Togo is the last step before the graduation. This academic requirement is huge in the Togolese culture because it's an evaluation of work done. But for Joël's career, this WAS his graduation too! After graduating, a student has crossed our program's finish line and can run in the freedom Jesus paid for because they're FREE from the trap of poverty and can obey God with the rest of their life!
We're also thrilled to announce that Anthony Knight, who has been instrumental in consulting for our whole education sector, prayed and said he felt the call of God to respond to the invitation to come full-time on with us! Give a warm welcome to our new Director of Global Education! He'll be responsible for a myriad of tasks and our priceless people, including accreditation, curriculum and oversight of the international Educators.
It takes a village to raise a child, they say, and we fight daily to keep what we do as excellent as we can. We're humbled with all God has called us to and do to in serving the eternity not only of our students in Lomé and Gbentchal, but the destinies we believe He intends to influence through future leaders, which will mean a true cultural upheaval for the glory of God.
To see the strong finish by our latest 2 university students (including Liebe's, Joël, mentioned above, who's pictured here from his graduation on August 25th! And soon, our friend Yendouboame), see our YouTube Channel and other social media, and help us celebrate them with an encouraging comment!
