Poverty rips away the dreams of a child, but at Mentor Leaders, when a child is fully sponsored, their dreams is just a matter of TIMING versus impossibility! The limits are broken--a young girl is NOT destined to become a teenage mother and raise her children at home. A young man is NOT destined to miss school just to be swept into a gang. Hope means we must dare for greater, risk for something we believe God wants for us.
Now a child who dreams of becoming a lawyer, a doctor, or a policeman CAN be freed from the cage of poverty as they're able to remain in school until graduating. That's powerful to those who know school and innocence are the first things to go when poverty forces a child to become an adult too quickly. But hope changes us from accepting limits to trusting better is coming, beyond what we see--this first class that are rising up are able to know better is ahead than what was before!
This kind of transformation is within our reach right now--filter to the children in El Monzón on our sponsorship page, and you’ll meet children just as sweet and hopeful as Dayana, Juan, Cristian who are praying for help. Choose to become the one who helps dreams become reality!
