Hamzah and his senior brother Awali attend Mentor Leaders Academy in Gbentchal, Togo. They are motherless. Their two brothers died as a result of a short illness. Their mother passed away after giving birth to two other twin children. In total, he has lost 4 brothers. Currently, he lives with his brother at their father's younger brother's home, their uncle. The father has left the village. Hamzah likes playing football and hunting birds with his friends in his spare time. He likes breeding wild birds in cages he made by himself. His friends call him affectionately "the hunter".
